Dashboard Terms of Service

These terms govern access to and use of the Consumer Perspectives client dashboard (the “Dashboard”), operated by Consumer Perspectives LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By logging in, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, the organization you represent (“Client”). These terms supplement, and do not replace, the signed services agreement between us and Client governing the underlying research engagement — where the two conflict, the signed agreement controls.

What the Dashboard is

The Dashboard is a read-only reporting portal that presents survey data we have collected and processed on Client's behalf — charts, crosstabs, trend views, and exports. Client accounts (“viewers”) can only see projects we have explicitly assigned to them. Viewers cannot upload data, edit underlying survey results, or access other clients' projects.

Account responsibilities

  • Keep your login credentials confidential and do not share your account with anyone outside your organization without our consent.
  • Notify us promptly at legal@perspectivesco.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • Use the Dashboard only for the purpose of reviewing and analyzing your organization's own research data.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to access another client's project data or account.
  • Scrape, systematically download, or redistribute Dashboard data outside the exports we provide, or share exports with parties not authorized by Client.
  • Reverse engineer, probe, or attempt to circumvent the Dashboard's access controls or security.
  • Use the Dashboard in any way that violates applicable law.

Data ownership

Client owns the survey data and findings presented in its projects. We own the Dashboard software, underlying methodology, question-override configurations, and any reusable analytical tooling. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of our software or methodology to Client.

AI features and third-party processing

Some Dashboard features use AI to help summarize or organize your data — see our Data Processing Disclosure for what that involves and how to request it be turned off for your project.

Availability and disclaimer

The Dashboard is provided “as is” for reporting purposes. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Findings and visualizations are provided to support your decision-making, not as a substitute for your own judgment about how to act on them.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Dashboard will not exceed the fees Client has paid us for the engagement giving rise to the data displayed, regardless of the legal theory asserted. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from Dashboard use, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. This section does not limit liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or gross negligence.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate a viewer account that violates these terms, or as part of offboarding when a Client engagement ends. Client data retention after an engagement ends is governed by the signed services agreement.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Dashboard evolves. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
